After welcoming speech at the opening of the meeting, IPOboard CEO Dmitry Bulavin emphasized the urgency of the problem related to the disclosure of information by public companies, and invited the participants to take part in the discussion. He also noted that the situation with information transparency has improved significantly in the post-crisis community. In particular, small and medium businesses at the pre-IPO stage can compete with the 3-level issuers, while a part of these members of the younger businesses already aim to enter the capital market in the future.
The participants discussed successful examples of public companies with a high level of transparency. In particular, the audience was specifically interested in Human Stem Cell Institute. The company was placed in the sector of IIM (Innovation and Investment Market) of the Moscow Stock Exchange in 2009. Artur Isaev, HSCI OJSC CEO, shared the experience of a successful IPO and creation of an ideal model of work of the issuer with investors.
In his following speech, Dmitry Bulavin talked about the deficit of independent analytics on companies of the 3rd echelon and innovation industries which is observed today on the financial market, and how IPOboard works to create a necessary analytical and statistical cover.
